M. Ed. Entrance Eligibility:

(A) M.Ed. (Regular) 1 Year Course

Eligibility for Entrance Test is 55% in B. Ed. (50% in case of SC/ST candidates). Entrance Test for M.Ed. (General), M.Ed. (Guidance and Counselling) and M.Ed. (Educational Technology) will be the same.

M.Ed. (Correspondence) 2 Year Course

Eligibility for Entrance Test is 55% in B. Ed. (50% in case of SC/ST candidates). Entrance Test for M.Ed. (through Correspondence) will be the same as for M.Ed. (General, Guidance and Counselling and Education and Technology).

Eligibility for Entrance Test for admission to M.Ed. through Correspondence is for in service teachers with two years paid work experience who are teaching in a school recognized by a Board of School Education established by law or in College affiliated to or recognized by a university provided that part time experience shall also be counted towards teaching experience if the teaching was done as paid teaching and the teacher is working at the time of admission i.e. in service at the time of admission.

Syllabus and Pattern of Panjab University M. Ed. Entrance Test:

M. Ed. Entrance Test Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Number of Questions: 75

Maximum Marks: 75

The test shall be objective type. Each question shall have four choices. The candidate shall have to select one best response. The test shall be based on the foundation course curricula of the following papers in B.Ed. of the Panjab University:

1. Philosophical and Sociological Basis of Education

2. The Learner – Nature and Development (Educational Psychology)

3. Teaching – Learning Process

4. School Management

5. Guidance & Counselling
