IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES
The O.M.R. Application forms can be obtained on cost payment from the Head Post Office of the Districts or from the Post Offices, mentioned below.
DIRGEN (General candidates, OBC candidates of U.P. and all candidates of other states): Rs. 140/-
DIRRES (SC of U.P., ST of U.P): Rs. 100/-
The candidates under horizontal reservation (PH of U.P., D.F.F of U.P. women of U.P. and Ex-Army personnel candidates of U.P.) shall purchase application form according to their main category.
2 The candidates must keep a Photocopy of their O.M.R. application form with them. They must mention their OMR Form No. in the correspondence with the Commission in future. Form set purchased from the post office will contain OMR application form, conventional application form, one envelop and instructions booklet. Candidates will ensure the receipt of both OMR application form and conventional application form keeping in the envelope of form set in the commission's office before last date.

(I) Junior Engineer (Civil): 422 Post
Reservation: 63 Posts are reserved for Scheduled Caste, 04 Post for Scheduled Tribes and 84 Posts for other Backward classes of U.P.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5000-150- 8000/-
Essential Qualification: Applicant must
(a) Have obtained an overseer's certificate (Diploma in Civil Engineering) from one of the Institutions mentioned in Appendix-B of the U.P. Public works department subordinate Engineering Rules-1951 as amended. Appendix-B is mentioned at the end of the advertisement
(b) Produce a certificate from the Head of the Institution from which he passed out or from the Collector of a District in Uttar Pradesh that he can easily read and write Hindi in Devanagri script.
Note: This certificate will not be required from those applicants who have passed their High School examination with Hindi as one of the Subjects
Preferential Qualification
(1) who have served in the Territorial Army for minimum period of Two years or
(2) who have obtained a B' certificate of the National Cadet Corps
(3) who have completed one years apprenticeship successfully.
Age: 21 to 35 years. Upper Age relaxation will be given for reserved category candidates of U.P. as per rules. The upper age limit will be greater by one year for those candidates who have trainee apprenticeship.

(II) Asst. Engineer (Civil) special Recruitment Post: 31
Reservation: 06 Post are reserved for scheduled tribes candidate and 25 posts for other Backward class candidates of U.P. Horizontal Reservation will be admissible as per rules.
Pay Scale: Rs. 8000-275-13,500/- (Department No. S-6/8)
Essential Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a University Established by Law in India or a Qualification Recognized by the Government as equivalent thereto
Preferential Qualification:
(1) Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or
(2) Obtained a 'B' Certificate of National Cadet Corps
(3) Successfully completed one year Training as Trainee.
Age: 21-35 years, upper relaxation will be given to reserved category candidates of U.P. as per Govt Rules. The upper Age Limit in the Case of a Candidate who is Trainee, shall be greater by one year.

Period of probation is 02 years. After selection incumbents may be posted any where in the state on any specified post mentioned in the appendix rule-4 and 21(2) of Uttar Pradesh Medical and Health Service Rules-2004 for specialist subcadre male.

(i) M.B.B.S. Degree of a university recognised by Medical Council of India and
(ii) A post graduate degree/diploma in Medical or Health Services in a particular subject of a University recognised by the Medical Council of India or the Uttar Pradesh Medical Council
Preferential Qualification: A candidate who has
(i) Served in the tentorial army for a minimum period of two years, or
(ii) obtained a "B" certificate or "G-1" certificate of national cadet corps, or
(iii) who possesses a higher academic qualification recognised by Medical Council of India, shall other things being equal, be given preferences in the matter of direct recruitment.

Candidates must have completed one year rotatory internship before or till the last date of vacancies of application forms and it is also compulsory to submit the registration certificate in Medical Council of India or U.P. U.P. PALIKA TRAFFIC ENGINEERING (Subordinate) SERVICES BACKLOG (SPECIAL RECRUITMENT)
Junior Engineer (Traffic & Transportation Planning): 03 Posts
Nature of Post: Non Gazetted, Permanent and pension as per Rules
Reservation: 02 posts are reserved for S.C. Candidates of U.P. and 01 Post is reserved for Other Backward Class of U.P. Horizontal reservation will be as per Rules.Deptt. No: S-10/1.
Pay Scale: Rs. 4500-125-7000/-.
Essential Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering from the following institution,
(i) Roorkee University; or
(ii) Hawette Engineering School Lucknow, or
(iii) Civil Engineering School, Lucknow, or

Essential Qualification:
(a) A Bachelor's Degree in Library Science from a University established by Law in India or a qualification recognised by the Government as equivalent there to.
(b) Good Knowledge of Hindi Preferential Qualification: Practical experience of work in a good library. If other things are equal, those candidates will be given preference,
(i) who has served in the territorial army for a minimum period of two years; or
(ii) obtained "B" certificate of National Cadet Corps.
Age: 21 to 35 years
Age Relaxation: In case of candidates belonging to the scheduled caste, scheduled tribes and such other categories as may be notified by the Government from time to time shall be greater by such number of years as may be specified.
CANCELLATION
It is hereby notified for general information that 37 posts of Assistant Engineer (civil), which were notified under advertisement no. 2/2003-04 and department No. S-12/3 has been cancelled by the commission. Fees of the applicants will be refunded soon.
2. Now this selection will be made on the basis of competetive examination according to the provision of the Uttar Pradesh Rural Engineering (Group "B") Service Rule 1993 as modified in 1999.
Advertisement in this regard will be issued soon.
CANCELLATION
It is hereby notified for General Information that the advertisement for the post of 08 "Senior Milk Inspector" under Dairy Development Department U.P. Advertisement No.2/ 2003-04, Item No.9(Department No.S-2/11) has been cancelled by the Commission on the request of State Govt.
Instructions For Filling The OMR Application Form:
1. Candidates must go through the advertisement thoroughly and they should apply for any post only after they are satisfied they fulfill all the conditions of eligibility for concerned post as contained in advertisement.
(2) Candidates desirous of getting the benefit of one or more reservation must mention their category (or Categories) in the relevant column of application form otherwise they shall be deemed to be General Candidates and they shall not be given the benefit of reservation. Do not enclose any certificate along with O.M.R. Application form. Candidates should read instructions contained in instruction booklet available with the form set and accordingly fill the OMR form.
Application completed in all respects must reach the "Secretary, (Deptt No) Public Service Commission, U.P., 10, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, Allahabad-211018" at the Commission's office either by registered post or by hand upto 5.00 p.m. on or before 19 December, 2008.
Applications through fax shall not be accepted. APPLICATION MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY
(a)For conventional type of Application form Self attested photostat copies of:
(b)(i) Higher Secondary/ High School certificate as proof of age.
(c)(ii) Self attested copy of Degree/ Diploma or its equivalent as proof of prescribed essential and preferential qualification. Enclose sufficient proof for the posts regarding specialized qualification otherwise applications will be rejected.
(d)One passport size attested photograph pasted on the conventional format, photograph may be attested by a gazetted officer/Head of the institution where candidate has received education/Head of the Department where the candidate is at present employed.
(e)In case of physically handicapped persons, certificate issued by Medical Board on prescribed proforma is required in accordance with G.O. No. 7/4/1971 -Karmik-2, dated May 29, 1978 read with Director, Medical Health and Family Planning Welfare, circular No. 11 Ka/Viklangta/5989-64, dated 18.04.85.
(f) In case of skilled players of classified games, certificate issued by competent authorised members in accordance with G.O. No. 22/21/1983 Karmik-2 dated November. 281985 is required.
(g)Caste certificate in prescribed form from the District Magistrate/ Add District Magistrates (Executive)/City Magistrate/ S.D.M./Tahsildar in support of claim for concession under any reserved category/categories. The proforma for S.C./S.T/O.B.C. certificate have been prescribed vide G.O. No.22/16/92-TC-lll/KA-2/2002 dated October 22, 2002
(h)The candidates must attach the attested copies of certificates pertaining to academic qualifications, experience and reservation etc. failing which the candidates will not be allowed to appear in the screening examination/ interview provisionally and their candidature will be cancelled treating them ineligible.
(i) The candidates claiming the benefit of reservation must obtain in support of their category a certificate issued by competent authority on the proforma available in this detailed advertisement and shall submit the same to the Commission when asked for.
(j) (2) All reserved candidates of U.P. must mention their category/sub-category in the application form.
(k)(3) Candidates claiming reservation in more than one category will be entitled to only one concession, whichever is more beneficial to them. (4) The Scheduled cast, Scheduled tribe, Other Backward class and dependents of freedom fighters, physically handicapped, Ex. Army personnel and women candidates who are not the permanent resident of U.P. shall not be given the benefit of reservation. Such candidates shall be treated as the candidates of general category.
(h) Serial number must be mentioned on the certificates/marksheets which are being enclosed with the application form and it should also be mentioned at the appropriate place in the application form.
Closing Date of Receipt of Application will be 19 December, 2008 upto 5:00 p.m.. 1 . Applications received after this date will not be entertained in any case. Incomplete application/ applications without required information and applications which are not signed by the candidates, even if received within time, will summarily be rejected. Knowledge of Hindi is essential.
Date of calculation of age (except where indication is otherwise) is July 01, 2008. Maximum age limit shall be relaxable by five years for candidates belonging to S.C./ S.T./O.B.C. and dependents of freedom fighters of U.P. Relaxation in age upto 3 years will be admissible for disabled/Ex-army personnel in addition to the entire period of their military service, It is essential to be released from army upto the date of last date of receipt of application, for physically handicapped persons (if post reserved), relaxation in age of 15 years will be admissible according to G.O. Application received and qualifications attained and change in category after the last date will also not be accepted. One self addressed post-card and two envelopes of 23x10cm. both bearing the name of the post, advt. No. and complete address thereon should accompany the application. The postage stamps need not be affixed on the envelope. Minimum qualification is not sufficient for being called for interview and mere eligibility does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview or for selection. Information for interview will be sent later on.
Marksheets of each year /semester of graduation & post graduation must be enclosed by the candidates. In case of large number of applications for any post/ posts, the Commission may hold screening test which will be communicated in due course.
Original certificates are required for verification at the time of interview. Candidates will then also be required to furnish copies of passport size photographs attested by their head of department or head of institution where they received education or by a gazetted officer. Candidates serving under central or state government will have to produce "NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE" from their employer at the time of interview.
