Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), invites applications for various posts in Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) via Special Recruitment Advertisement No. 51/2010.

1. Public Prosecutors:

Posts: 15

Pay Scale:

Rs. 15600-39100 (Grade Pay Rs.5400)

Qualification:

Degree in Law, seven year practice at Bar in handling criminal cases

Age Limit:

35 year max

2. Senior Public Prosecutors:

Posts: 17

Pay Scale:

Rs. 15600-39100 (Grade Pay Rs. 6600)

Qualification:

Degree in Law, 8 year practice at Bar in handling criminal cases

Age Limit:

40 year max

Selection Process:

Recruitment via a written test followed by an Interview. The candidates will be called for interview in order of their merit in the Recruitment Test.

Written Test Pattern:

A combined Written Objective Type test with multiple choices of answer will be conducted followed by Interview for selection of candidates.

Duration: 2 hours

Maximum Marks: 100

Negative Marking: Every wrong answer will carry a deduction of one-third of the marks assigned to that question.

Syllabus for Written Test:

The level of the question paper will be that of LLB programme of recognized Indian Universities. The syllabus of the question paper shall cover the following major topics:

Criminal Law including IPC and Cr. PC

Constitution Law

Evidence Law

Prevention of Corruption Act

Delhi Special Police Establishment Act

Information Technology Act (IT Act)

Central Vigilance Commission Act (CVC Act).

Rs. 50

To be paid in the shape of Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only.
