Selection Procedure:

(a) For the posts of Specialist Officers on regular basis (Post Codes No. 04 to 17) selection will be based on qualification, experience and interview.

(b) Selection for the post of Probationary Officer Post code no. 01, 02 & 03 will be made on the basis of performance in written test and Interview. The details of the examination are as under:

Written Test Syllabus:

(Only for Probationary Officers in JMGS–I Post code 01, 02 & 03)

Objective Test

Duration: 135 minutes

Type: Multiple Choice

Questions: 225

Max Marks: 200

1. Test of Reasoning (75 Questions, 80 Marks)

2. Quantitative Aptitude (50 Questions, 60 Marks)

3. Test of General Awareness (50 Questions, 60 Marks)

4. English Language (50 Questions, 00 Marks, Qualifying Only)

Descriptive Test:

Duration: 60 minutes

Marks: 100

It will consist of 5 questions with internal options based on subject knowledge. The candidates have to qualify in descriptive paper and marks obtained in it will be reckoned for merit ranking.
