Syllabus for SBI PO Exam Changed: No Maths Now!!

I am sure this will make you all very happy.
SBI has decided to skip maths in the Probationary Officer written exams. It will be replaced by Data Interpretation (DI) which is much easier.

Syllabus for Written Examination:
The written examination will consist of objective and descriptive type of tests.
Objective Type Test
Time Allotted: Composite time of 120 minutes
Marks: 200
Sections:
There will be four sections, each with 50 questions containing 50 marks.
1. Reasoning (High Level)
2. Data Analysis and Interpretation
3. General Awareness / Marketing / Computers
4. English Language (Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc.)
Descriptive Test:
This is to check your proficiency in English Knowledge. It would consist of:
Comprehension
Letter Writing
Essay Writing
Precis Writing etc
Time Allotted: Composite time of 60 minutes
Marks: 50
Descriptive test paper of only those candidates will be evaluated who are adequately high in the percentile ranking in each of the four objective tests and have scored overall aggregate 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD). Minimum passing marks in this paper are 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/ PWD).
Passing Marks:
The candidate MUST PASS in each of the four objective type tests.
Final selection will be on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in the written examination. Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
