Supreme Court invites applications for preparation of a panel for appointment to the post of Junior Court Assistant (JCE).

Pay Band:

Rs. 5,200-20,200 (with Grade Pay of Rs. 2800) plus usual allowances

Essential Qualifications (as on May 01, 2009):

Bachelor's degree of a recognised University with a minimum speed of 35 w.p.m. in English Typing on Computer.

Knowledge of computer operation.

Age Limit (as on May 01, 2009):

18 years to 27 years. Relaxation per rules.

Pattern and Syllabus of Examination

The eligible candidates will have to appear in the tests in the following subjects:

Duration: 1 ½ hours

1. Objective Type Question paper with multiple choice answers containing 100 questions

General English: 50 questions

General Aptitude: 25 Questions

General Knowledge: 25questions

Negative Marking: 0.25 marks out of 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer

2. Typing (English) test at the speed of 35 w.p.m. (10 minutes) on Computer.

3. Test in Computer operation

Those candidates who qualify in the Written and Typing Test on Computer will be subjected to a test in computer operation. The candidates who qualify in the prescribed Written, Typing and Computer tests will be required to appear for an interview before an Interview Board.

Application Form:

Application must be made on the form obtained from the Supreme Court. The Application Kit can be obtained on any working Monday to Friday between 10.30 A.M. to 1.00 P.M. and 2.00 P.M. to 4.00 P.M. from May 27, 2009 to June 30, 2009.

Application Fee:

General: Rs.300

SC/ST/Physically challenged/Ex-servicemen and dependents of freedom fighters: Rs. 150

In form of a Demand Draft/Pay Order for in favour of Registrar, Supreme Court of India payable at New Delhi from the Reception Counter of Supreme Court of India near Gate B, opposite UCO Bank or by sending at his/her own risk a self addressed envelope of 32cmX25cm size with postage stamp of Rs.60/- affixed thereon along with Demand Draft of the requisite amount, in favour of Registrar, Supreme Court of India payable at New Delhi.

How to Apply:

Submit Application at Reception Counter of the Supreme Court of India on any working Monday to Friday between 10.30 A.M. to 1.00 P.M. and 2.00 P.M. to 4.30 P.M. till June 30, 2009. Applications can also be sent by Registered AD post addressed to Registrar, Supreme Court of India, Tilak Marg, New Delhi-110001 in the envelope provided with the application form so as to reach latest by 4.30 P.M. on 30.06.2009. The Registry will not be responsible for any postal loss or delay.
