Staff Selection Commission (SSC) - Recruitment of Section Officer (Audit) Exam, 2008

Staff Selection Commission will conduct a competitive examination all over the country for recruitment to the posts of Section Officer (Audit) (a Group ‘B' Non-Gazetted Post) in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General.

Date of Examination: 30.11.2008 (November 30, 2008)

Pay Scale: Rs. 6500-10500

Number of Openings: 250

Reservation:

Unreserved (General): 125

Reserved for SC Candidates: 38

Reserved for ST Candidates: 19

Reserved for OBC Candidates: 68

Reserved for OH & HH (from total 250 Posts): 04

NOTE: These vacancies are provisional and may increase or decrease.

Age Limit:

1. Not exceeding 18-27 years as on 18.08.2008. (Relaxable up to 05 years for Central Govt. Employees who have rendered not less than 03 years continuous service on regular basis as on 18.08.08. Usual age relaxation will be admissible to SC, ST, OBC etc. as per Government Orders in force)

Qualification:

A Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University as on 18.08.08 (August 18, 2008).

Application Fee:

General Candidates: Rs. 80

SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen and PH candidates: NO FEE

NOTE:

1. Fee concession is not admissible to sons and daughters of Exs. OR Persons from Other Backward Classes.

2. Fee can be paid through CRFS only.

Closing Date:

Last Date for Receipt of Application: August 18, 2008 (August 25, 2008 for remote areas)
