SBI Recruitment 2012: 8500 Clerks / Assistants, 1000 Stenographers

SBI, State Bank of India, invites applications for recruitment of Clerks (Assistants and Stenographers) all over India. This is an updated advertisement to the 3100 posts posts of SBI Recruitment 2012 Advertisement NO. CRPD/CR/2011-12/05.

The vacancies have been revised to 8500 for clerks and 1000 for stenographers. The details are given below:

Posts:

8500 (Gen: 3145, SC: 2069, ST: 1337, OBC: 1949)

SBI Recruitment 2012 - Stenographer

Posts:

1000 [Hindi = 100, English = 900] (Gen: 537, SC: 134, ST: 79, OBC: 250)

Pay Scale:

Rs. 7200-19300

SBI Recruitment 2012 - Educational Qualification (as on Dec 01, 2011):

Minimum 12th Standard (10 + 2) pass or equivalent with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ ST/ PWD/ XS)

OR

ii) A degree (Graduation level) from a recognised university

AND

Should be able to write and speak English fluently. Knowledge of local language will be an added qualification.

Age Limit: (as on Dec 01, 2011)

18 to 28 years

Application Fee:

SC/ ST / PWD / XS: Rs. 50

Gen. / OBC: (Assistant: Rs. 350, Asstt. + Steno - any language: Rs. 500, Asstt. + Steno - both languages: Rs. 650)

Negative Marking:

1/4th marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates will have to pass in each of the objective tests.
