Preliminary Exam:
September 2011
Main Exam:
October 2011
Number of Posts:
100 (Gen: 50, SC: 20, ST: 10, Other Reserved Categories: 20 )
Scale of Pay:
Rs. 10300 during the induction period of 3 years [can be extended to 5 years]
After the induction period: 10300-34800 + 3600 as Grade Pay
Qualifications:
1. Graduate from a recognized University or institution or its equivalent and should have passed Punjabi subject upto Matric standard.
2. Candidate should possess at least 120 hours course with working experience in the use of Personal Computers or Information Technology in Office Productivity applications or Desktop Publishing Applications from a Govt. recognized institution or a reputed institution which is ISO 9001 certified.
OR
A computer Information Technology Course equivalent to ‘O' level certificate of DOEACC of Govt. of India.
Age Limit:
Candidates should be between 18 to 37 years as on Jan 01, 2011
The relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided as per Govt. rules
Selection Procedure:
Selection will be based on written examination only. There will no interview.
The Preliminary Exam will be conducted in September 2011 and the Main Examination will be conducted in October 2011. The Main Exam will only be conducted for candidates equal to 15 times the number of posts based on the merit list prepared from marks scored in Preliminary exam.
Syllabus:
The merit will be prepared on the basis of this written examination only. The question paper will have 150 questions, each carrying one mark, as per the details given below:

| Mathematical skills (with Matric as the difficulty level) | 50 questions |

Application Fee:
(a) General Category : Rs. 600/-
(b) SC/ST/BC : Rs. 150/-
(c) All the ex-servicemen are exempted from the payment of fee.
The application fee must be paid at State Bank of India or State Bank of Patiala in the account designated as "0051-Public Service Commission-105-State Public Service Commission-01-S.S. board examination fees". The origina copy of challan must be attached with the application form.

Only our defacto chief Minister Mr sukhbir singh Badal knows when the results will be announced , and secondly dont expect your name in the list if you are not one of his henchies relative or have given donation to BIBI JI or Kaka Ji.

Whenever the result of excise and taxation exam held on 23rd november 2008 will be declared, we will publish the result on this page. Please dont ask us the date of result .
