Purvanchal Gramin Bank, Gorakhpur (Sponsored by State Bank of India) invites applications from candidates domiciled in Uttar Pradesh for appointment as Officer Scale I Group “A” & Office Assistants – Group “ B”

Written Examination:

1. Officer Scale I Group “A”: August 23, 2009

2. Office Assistants Group “B”: August 30, 2009

I. Officer Scale – I:

Posts: 23 (SC: 5, OBC: 6, GEN: 12)

Age Limit: 18-26 years

Pay Scale: Rs.10000-18240

Qualification:

Degree of a recognised university in any discipline or its equivalent.

Selection Procedure:

written test and interview. The test will be objective type comprising the following:

Duration: 150 minutes

1. Reasoning ability (50 Questions, 50 Marks)

2. Quantitative Aptitude (50 Questions, 50 Marks)

3. General Awareness (50 Questions, 50 Marks)

4. English Language (50 Questions, 50 Marks)

The candidates shall be required to qualify in each objective test separately. Wrong answers given in the objective test will result in negative marks.

II. Office Assistant:

Posts: 75

Age Limit: 18-26 years

Pay Scale: Rs.4410-13210

Qualification:

Degree of a recognized university in any discipline or its equivalent OR

Pass in Higher Secondary Examination of 10+2+3 pattern/ pre degree or intermediate or any equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in the aggregate. OR

Pass with minimum 60% (55% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate in matriculation / Senior School Certificate (old pattern) or equivalent.

Note: for both the posts Code 1 & 2

(i) Proficiency in Hindi is essential.

(ii) Knowledge of English required

(iii) Preference will be given to candidates with Computer Knowledge.

Application Fee:

Gen/OBC: Rs. 300

SC/ST/PC/EXS: Rs. 50

Application Fee must be paid only by means of a single Account Payee Crossed Demand Draft / Banker’s Pay Order issued by Purvancal Gramin Bank or a Scheduled Bank payable at Gorakhpur (U.P.) as under:

(a) For Officer Scale-I - in favour of “PURVANCHAL GRAMIN BANK RECRUITMENT PROJECT -2009 (Post- 1)”

(b) For Office Assistants - in favour of “PURVANCHAL GRAMIN BANK RECRUITMENT PROJECT -2009 (Post- 2)”
