Punjab & Sind Bank invites Applications appointment of officers in JMGS I, MMGS II and MMGS III all over India under Advt. No.REC/ 01/2010-11 under PSB Officers’ Recruitment Project 2010-11.

Eligibility:

Graduate in any discipline with minimum 55% marks (for SC/ST/ PC 50%) in aggregate from a University recognised by Government of India.

Computer qualification like diploma in computer operation from NIIT, SSI, Aptech, CMC, DOEACC course / certificate (O/A/B/C) level etc. essential.

II. Technical Officer (JMG Scale I)

[Civil: 02, Mechanical 02, Electrical: 01]

Age Limit (As on Jan 01, 2010):

21 to 30 years [Relaxation as per rules]

Eligibility:

Degree in Engineering in the respective field of Civil/Mechanical/Electrical from a University/Institute recognized by Govt. of India.

Experience:

Two years desirable but not essential.

III. Chartered Accountant (MMG Scale II)

21 to 32 years [Relaxation as per rules]

Eligibility:

Graduate of any recognized university with a pass in the final examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). Fresh CAs, who are likely to complete their degrees up to April 30, 2010, may also apply. Candidates having experience of minimum two years in Banking / Financial Institutions (Specially in Project appraisal / Risk Management/ Treasury / Foreign Exchange/ Merchant Banking etc.) will be preferred.

IV. EDP Officer (MMG Scale II)

Two years in any bank/financial institution in the cadre of JMGS-I or equivalent. Candidates working on Core Banking Solution (CBS) platform (FINACLE), will be preferred

V. EDP Officer (MMG Scale III)

Age Limit (As on Jan 01, 2010):

21 to 35 years [Relaxation as per rules]

Eligibility Criteria:

Degree in Engineering in the field of Computer Science/IT or MCA from a University/Institute recognized by Govt. of India.

Five years in any bank/financial institution out of which minimum two years should be in MMGS-II or equivalent. Candidates working on Core Banking Solution (CBS) platform (FINACLE), will be preferred.

Selection Procedure:

(a) OBJECTIVE Written Test:

Objective Tests consisting of

(1) Test of Reasoning Ability

(2) Test of Quantitative Aptitude

(3) Test of General Awareness

(4) Test of Computer knowledge

(5) Test of English Language

There will be negative marks (1/4) for the wrong answers in the Objective Tests.

(b) DESCRIPTIVE WRITTEN TEST (Qualifying Test):

English Composition

Note:

For Specialist Officer (other than PO) Descriptive Paper will be of Professional Knowledge and there will be NO test of Computer Knowledge in objective test.

(c) Interview

SC/ST/PC/XSM/DISXS/ DXS: Rs. 50

GEN/OBC: Rs. 400

“Punjab & Sind Bank- Recruitment Project 2010-Specialist Officers” payable at ‘Mumbai’ only for post codes 2 to 7. Candidate’s Name, Address/Post applied for and Name of the Centre should be written on the reverse of the Demand Draft/Pay Order.
