Punjab Police invites applications for the recruitment of Constables (Male and Female) in Punjab District Police and Armed Police Cadres as detailed below:

District Police Cadres – Male: 1214 Posts
Armed Police Cadres – Male: 1533 Posts
District Police Cadres – Female: 97 Posts
Armed Police Cadres – Female: 194 Posts
Total Vacancies: 3038
Pay Scale: PB-2 Rs. 5910-20200 (Grade PRs. 1900)

Eligibility:
The minimum educational qualification for recruitment is 10+2 in any discipline (or equivalent). It is compulsory for each candidate to have passed matriculation examination with Punjabi as compulsory/optional subject. However, in case of Ex-Servicemen the minimum education qualification will be matriculation.
Age Limit:
(i) 18 to 25 years (as on Jan 01, 2010) [ Relaxation as per rules]
Selection Process:
Selection process would comprise of three phases
A) Physical Measurement
B) Physical Efficiency
C) Interview
Application Forms:
Application Form can be obtained by paying Rs. 100 cash on all working days during office hours (9.00 a.m. to 1.30 P.M and 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.) from the following offices:
i) Office of the Senior Superintendents of Police in all districts of Punjab.
ii) Commandant, 13th Bn., PAP, Chandigarh (Back side Civil Secretariat, Punjab, Chandigarh).

Candidates may also apply on forms downloaded from the official website of the Punjab Police www.punjabpoliceindia.org. Completed application forms shall be accompanied by an Account Payee, Demand Draft amounting to Rs. 100 in favour of "Chairman, Central Recruitment Board, PAP Campus, Jalandhar Cantt, (payable at Jalandhar. The candidate must write her Name and Address at the back side of the Bank Draft in capital letters.
