Punjab Police invites online applications for the Recruitment of Sub-Inspector (SI - District Cadre) for Both Male & Female candidates.

Pay Scale:

Rs. 10300-34800/- + Grade Pay of Rs. 3600

 

Educational qualifications:

The minimum educational qualification for recruitment is Graduation (as on date of submission of application) or its equivalent from a recognized university. It is compulsory for each candidate to have passed matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory / elective subjects passed at the level of Matriculation from a recognized education board/University.

Age Limit:

18 to 25 years (as on Jan 01, 2011)

Syllabus for Written Test:

The applicant who would qualify the physical test, have to appear for written examination.

Maximum Marks:

100

Qualifying Marks:

SC/ST/BC: 45%

Others: 50%

1. General Awareness on current national and international issues
2. Terrorism / Naxalism in Indian sub-continent
3. General knowledge about India
4. General knowledge about Punjab
5. General science
6. Information technology and its applications
7. Numerical aptitude
8. Test of reasoning
9. Comprehension etc.

 

Interview:

Candidates will be called for interview on the basis of merit in the written examination. Interview will be of 15 marks only. Number of candidates called for interview would be three times of the vacancies advertised.

To be paid in form of a demand draft in favour of Chairman, Recruitment Board for Sub Inspector (District Cadre), Payable at Chandigarh
