Pandit Bhimsen Joshi awarded Bharat Ratna Award

Popular Indian classical vocalist Pandit Bhimsen Joshi has been nominated for the coveted Bharat Ratna, Indias highest civilian award.
Rastrapati Bhavan anoounced this on November 04, 2008.
Bharat Ratna was last awarded in the year 2001 as we posted earlier.
