Central Recruitment & Promotion Department, State Bank of India, Corporate Centre, Mumbai invites applications from Indian citizens for engagement on contractual basis in the positions of Officers - Marketing and Recovery (Rural) & Technical Officer (Farm Sector) in State Bank of India.
NOTE: The number of vacancies including reserved vacancies as mentioned below are provisional and may vary according to the actual assesment of the Bank.

Name of Post: Officer-Marketing & Recovery (Rural)

Compensation package :
Rs. 2.00 lac p.a. of which 80% will be fixed pay and 20% will be variable pay.
Role:
Identifying and targeting opportunity : Marketing and lead generation, identifying
product needs.
Continuous business building:
Continuous village visits and relationships with customers,
build robust information database.
Lending and recovery process : Pre-sanction survey, application filling, papers /documents
verification, soft recovery.
Eligibility criteria: i) As on 16.08.2008, the candidate should be a Graduate in Agriculture,
Veterinary, Fisheries, Dairy, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Pharmacy etc. from a recognized
University with minimum 70% Marks (65% for SC, ST and PH candidates)
or
Graduates in the following streams - BBAs, Social Work, Social Welfare, Graduates with
specialisation in marketing with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC, ST and PH candidates) or MBA
with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC, ST & PH Candidates)
ii) As on 01.10.2008, the canddidate should be minimum of 21 years age and maximum 28 years
(Relaxation in upper age limit to reserved category candidates as per Govt. guidelines).
iii) Candidate must have fluency (read, write and speak) in the local language of the State
where he is likely to be posted.
iv) Candidate possessing a valid permanent driving license for 2-wheelers will be preferred.
Selected candidates without driving license must obtain it within 6 months.
v) Candidate should be willing to work in rural / semi urban areas for a contractual period of 2
years and should also be ready to join the job at a short notice. Work involves extensive
travelling.

Technical Officer (Farm Sector) :
Compensation package:
Rs. 2.50 lac p.a. of which 80% will be fixed pay and 20% will be variable pay.
Role : Marketing of SBI Agro-products, pre-loan sanction, evaluation and recommendation, loan
follow-up, monitoring and recovery.
Eligibility criteria (as on16.08.2008) Qualification / Post Qualification experience :
i) Post Graduates from a recognized Institute / University in the disciplines
mentioned in the above chart with minimum 70% marks (65% for SC, ST and PH
candidate)
ii) As on 01.10.2008, the canddidate should be minimum of 21 years age and maximum 28
years (Relaxation in upper age limit to reserved category candidates as per Govt. guidelines).
iii) Candidate must have fluency (read, write and speak) in the local language of the State
where he is likely to be posted.
iv) Candidate should be willing to work for a contractual period of 2 years and should also be
ready to join the job at a short notice.
