National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) in going to conduct All India Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for admission into BSc (Hospitality and Hotel Administration) session 2009-10

Last Date to Apply:

April 08, 2009

Date of Examination:

May 09, 2009 (10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.)

Result of JEE on web site:

1st week of June 2009

Counselling for JEE:

3rd week of June 2009

Commencement of Classes:

July 21, 2009

National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology centrally regulates academics for hospitality and hotel administration and other eleven structured courses of studies that are imparted at the existing 21 Central Institutes of Hotel Management, 7 State Govt. Institutes of Hotel Management, 7 Private Institutes of Hotel Management affiliated with NCHMCT and 6 Food Craft Institutes located in different parts of the country.

Eligibility:

A pass in the examination of 10+2 system of Senior Secondary education or its equivalent with English as one of the compulsory subject. Those appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination can also appear in JEE 2009 for being considered on provisional basis. Provisional admissions will stand cancelled if proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent) is not submitted to the allotted Institute at the time of admission.

Age Limit (as on as July 01, 2009):

General/ OBC and Physically Handicapped Candidates: Maximum 22 years

Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Candidates: Maximum 25 years

The physical sale of application form and Information Brochure through Branches & affiliated IHMs is likely to start w.e.f. Feb 16, 2009 to April 10, 2009.

Online:

Candidates may also download Application Form up to March 27, 2009 from www.nchmct.org and forward their request by speed post /Registered Post only along with requisite demand draft (Rs. 850/- for general and OBC and Rs. 450/- for SC/ST/PH categories ) drawn in favour of "NCHMCT" payable at Noida.
