Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), Shillong invites applications in the prescribed format for filling up of vacancies in States Of Assam, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur, Tripura, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh And Sikkim as given below.

1. Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) – 03 Posts:

Subjects Wise: Commerce: 01, Economics: 02

Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 Grade Pay Rs.4800

Age Limit: 40 years (as on April 01, 2010)

Selection Procedure for PGT:

A Written Examination will be conducted for the recruitment to the above mentioned post

Syllabus:

Paper	Subject	Marks	Duration
Paper - I General Paper (Common for All PGTs)	Objective type multiple choice questions on General English, General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning. Numerical Ability and Teaching Aptitude.	60	2 Hrs
Paper – II (Language Proficiency)	Objective type Hindi/English Language proficiency test.	40 Marks	1 hr
Paper – III (Subject Paper)	Descriptive questions in the subject concerned. The difficulty level of the question paper will be of Post Graduation level.	80 Marks	2 hrs

Note: Paper III of only those candidates will be evaluated who have secured minimum cut-off marks in Paper-I (General Paper) as well as in Paper-II (Language Proficiency).

2. Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) – 128 Posts:

Subject Wise: Hindi: 13, English: 25, Maths: 38, Science: 11, Social Science: 11, Arts: 06, Music: 08, Physical Education (Female): 10, Librarian: 06)

Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 Grade Pay Rs.4600

Age Limit: 35 years (as on April 01, 2010)

Selection Procedure for TGTs:

A Written Examination will be conducted for the recruitment to the above mentioned post.

Syllabus:

Paper – II (Language Proficiency)	Objective type Hindi/English Language proficiency test. Difficulty level of question paper will be of Graduation Level.	40 Marks	1 hr
Paper – III (Subject Paper)	Descriptive questions in the subject concerned. The difficulty level of the question paper will be of Graduation Level.	80 Marks	2 hrs
