National Insurance Company Limited (NIC) invites online applications for recruitment to the posts of Administrative Officer (Scale-I).

There are two categories Administrative Officer Specialist and Administrative Officer Generalist. The details are as follows:

Administrative Officers

Group A: Engineering (50)

A1 (40): Graduate degree of not less than 4 years in Automobile Engineering OR Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with PG Diploma (at least one Year duration) in Automobile Engineering.

A2 (10): Graduate degree of not less than 4 years in Engineering in any of the following disciplines – (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, & Chemical)

Group B: Health (30)

B1: Graduate in Medical Science (MBBS)

B2: Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S). Degree of not less than 5 ½ years including Internship from reputed Institutes under Central Council for Indian Medicine.

B3: Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (B.H.M.S). Degree of not less than 5 ½ years including Internship from reputed Institutes under Central Council for Homeopathy, India.

Group C: Finance (25)

Chartered Accountant (ICAI) / M.Com / B.Com with MBA (Finance).

Group D: Actuarial (5)

Graduate in Statistics/ Mathematics/ Actuarial Science & Pass in at least three papers of the examination conducted by Actuarial Society of India.

Group E: Legal (20)

Graduate in Law

Group F: Investigator (15)

Graduate in any stream including Law with minimum one year experience in Investigational assignments with Central /State Police department / Central Bureau of Investigation/ National Investigation Agency/ other Central/State Govt. Investigation organization.

(Candidates should possess aptitude for Investigational assignments & should have Investigative attributes)

Group G: Generalist (200)

Graduates in any stream.

 

Age limit:

21-30 years

Pay Scale:

Rs. 17240-32640 in Scale-I

Application Fee:

Gen: Rs. 400

Female: Rs. 200

SC/ST/PWD: Rs. 50

Fee should be deposited in the nearest Indian Bank Branch in Cash only in Account No. 6008050653 in favour of “National Insurance Co. Ltd”.

Selection Procedure:

A written examination will be conducted for selection. The test will consist of:

Objective / Subjective Type Tests based on:

i) Reasoning Ability (40 Marks)

ii) Quantitative Aptitude (20 Marks)

iii) Computer Knowledge and General Awareness (20 Marks)

iv) English Language – Descriptive  (40 Marks)

v) Professional Knowledge [Group A to F] / General Aptitude [Group G] (80 Marks)

Notes:

1. English Descriptive Test will consists of Essay, Précis and Comprehension.

2. General Awareness Test will be taken in lieu of professional knowledge test for candidates belonging to Group G. The additional topics which will be covered in this part will be:

(a) Data Sufficiency

(b) Analysis of Information/Analytical ability

(c) Data Interpretation.

3. The first four tests i.e. Test of Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language and Computer Operation related Awareness will be common for all the candidates. The Test of Professional knowledge will be specific to each of the Groups as may be applicable.
