Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has extended the last date for application for Recruitment of Diploma Trainee & Jr. Technician Trainee in ER-I via Corrigendum.

Qualification:
Diploma in Electrical Engg. from recognised Technical Board / Institute with minimum 70 % marks in aggregate of all semesters/ years for General and OBC candidates and pass marks for PH/ SC/ST candidates.

Qualification:
ITI (Electrical) Pass from a recognised technical Board / Institute.
(Reservation for PH: OL/HH - 01 (backlog), HH - 02 & OL : 01).
Reservation for EX: servicemen as per Govt. of India Directives.
Maximum Age (As on 31.07.2008):
27 years.
Relaxable by:
- 5 years for SC/ST
- 3 years for OBC (Non: Creamy Layer)
- 10 years for PH: General
- 15 years for PH: SC/ST
- 13 years for PH: OBC (NCL)
- Ex Serviceman having a minimum of six months continuous service is allowed age relaxation to the extent of the period spent in service plus three years subject to the condition that the resultant age after deducing his period of service from his actual age does not exceed the prescribed age limit by more than three years.
- Disabled Ex: servicemen shall be allowed age relaxation of 3 years (6 years for OBC and 8 years for SC/ST)
SELECTION PROCESS:
An objective type Written Test consisting of
1. Technical Knowledge Test
2. Aptitude Test
will be conducted at PATNA. Tests will be different for both the posts.
The short listed candidates thereof will have to appear for a personal interview (and trade test for Post Code JTTE) with the Company's Selection Board.
TRAINING:
Selected candidates will undergo training for a period of one year at POWERGRID sites and training institutes.
SERVICE BOND:
Selected Candidates will be required to execute a service agreement bond (of Rs. 50000/: for DTE: Gen/ OBC, Rs. 25000/: for DTE: SC/ST, Rs. 25000/: for JTTE: Gen/ OBC & Rs. 12000/: for JTTE: SC/ST candidates) for serving the Corporation for a minimum period of three years after completion of training.
EMOLUMENTS:
During training (Stipend)
Diploma Trainee: Rs. 7300 p.m.
Jr. Tech. Trainees: Rs. 5000 p.m.
On successful completion of training, they will be regularised at pay scale of
Jr. Engineer: Rs. 7300 - 3.5% - 12660
Jr. Technician: Rs. 5000 - 3% - 9590
Note: Pay scale is due for revision w.e.f. 01.01.2007
