Educational Qualification (as on March 31, 2009):

A degree from any recognized university or equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate. ( 55 % for SC/ ST/OBC) Preference shall be given to candidates who are computer literates in MS DOS, MS WORD, EXCEL NET WORKING etc. Knowledge of English and proficiency in local language (Kannada) is essential.

Preference shall be given wherever required to those who are having professional qualification in Engineering, Business, Administration, Law/ Agriculture/ Veterinary Sciences / Horticulture , Marketing ,Computers etc.,

Selection Procedure for Officer Scale I:

A. Objective type written test and interview:

Duration: 150 minutes (2 Hrs 30 minutes)

Mx Marks: 200 (200 Questions)

Syllabus:

Test will have 50 Questions in each of the following section

01. Test of reasoning

02. Quantitative Aptitude

03. Test of general awareness

04. Test of English Language

B. Interview: 40 marks

The candidates shall secure a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST) in interview.

Educational Qualification (as on March 31, 2009):

A degree from any recognized university in any discipline or its equivalent O R

A pass in Higher Secondary school examination of 10 + 2 or 10 + 2 + 3 pattern / 11th standard of 11 + 3 pattern/ Pre-degree or Intermediate or any equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% ( SC / ST 45%) marks in the aggregate. Diploma in Banking recognized by State or Central Government. OR

Pass with minimum 60% marks ( SC/ST 55%) in aggregate in matriculation /Senior School Certificate(old pattern) or equivalent

Selection Procedure for Clerk Grade:

A. Objective type written test and interview:

Duration: 150 minutes (2 Hrs 30 minutes)

Mx Marks: 200 (200 Questions)

Syllabus:

Test will have 50 Questions in each of the following section

01. Reasoning ability

02. Numerical ability

03. Clerical aptitude

04. English Language

a. The Marks obtained in first 3 papers will be reduced to 60% for the purpose of preparing merit list after the written examination. The test of English language is not counted for merit ranking.

b. Minimum qualifying marks shall be 35% in all subjects and relaxation of 5% in minimum qualifying marks will be provided to SC/ST candidates.

B. Interview: 40 marks

The candidates shall secure a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST) in interview.

Notes:

1. All candidate must have:

Proficiency in Kannada (To speak, read and write).
Knowledge of English.
computer knowledge in MS DOS,MS Word, MS Excel, Networking etc

2. The Marks obtained in first 3 papers will be reduced to 60% for the purpose of preparing merit list after the written examination. The test of English language is not counted for merit ranking.

4. Final selection will be on the basis of ranking accorded after adding the marks obtained in the written test and interview, subject to securing minimum marks in interview as stated.

Application fee must be paid by means of A/c Payee crossed Bank pay order / Bank Demand draft issued by a scheduled Bank, payable at Dharwad, in favour of "Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank - Recruitment Project 2 / 2009"

Bank demand draft / Bank Pay order must be purchased on or after the date of advertisement but on or before the last date of submission of application. Candidates must write his/her name and address on the reverse of the Bank demand draft/ Bank pay order.
