Haryana Public Service Commission (HCS, Judicial Branch) Examination 2008

Post Name: Civil Judges (Junior Division) in the Haryana Civil Service (Judicial Branch).

Number of Posts: 78 (Gen 42, SC of Haryana 24, BANDITCC4 of Haryana 2, ESM of Haryana 6, PH Ortho of Haryana 4)

Pay Scale: Rs. 9000-250-10750-300-13150-350-14550/-.

Essential Qualifications:

Academic: No person shall be eligible to be appointed a Civil Judge (Junior Division) unless he holds a degree of Bachelor of Laws from a University established by the law and approved/recognised by the Bar Council of India. The expression 'Degree of Bachelor of Laws' means a degree entitling a candidate to be enrolled as an Advocate under the Advocates Act, 1961, and the rules made there under.

Age: Between 21 years to 40 years as on 15.10.2008. Upper age limit is relaxable for SC/BC/ESM candidates of Haryana domicile and certain categories of destitute women of Haryana as detailed in column 5 of 'Instructions and Information for candidates' to be supplied with the application form.

Scheme of Examination will be as given below:

The selection of suitable candidates for appointment in HC.S (Judl. Branch) will be. made by holding an examination. The examination shall be conducted in three stages, namely

(i) Preliminary Examination

(ii) Written Examination

(iii) Viva-Voce

The preliminary examination shall be held at Chandigarh/Panchkula. However, the centres and the date of examination shall be intimated to the candidates later on while sending the admit cards to them.



NOTE:

(i) The reservation of posts of different categories will be governed by the instructions of the State Govt, as issued from time to time.

(ii) If suitable ex-servicemen are not available then eligible sons/daughters of E.S.M. will be considered as per govt, instructions.

(iii) Physically handicapped (Ortho.) candidates with at least 40% disability will be eligible for the posts reserved for them.

Fee: Rs. 1000/- for general category including dependent son/daughter of ESM of Haryana candidates and Rs. 500/- for the candidates of SC/ST of all States and BC/ESM/PH of Haryana only through Indian Postal Orders/Bank drafts (from any branch of Scheduled Bank of India) payable to the Secretary, Haryana Public Service Commission at Chandigarh with self addressed envelope of 24x11 cm. size duly stamped worth Rs. 40/- for registered post or on cash payment at the counter from 10 a.m. to 1. p.m. and 2 pm to 4 pm on all working days. The candidate must write his name, address in block letters, name of the post for which application form is required and category of form i.e. General including dependent son/daughter of ESM of Hr. and another for reserved category. No application form will be supplied to a candidate who does not remit the full prescribed cost of application form and envelope as stated above. No extra fee, other than the cost of application form and envelope as stated above, will be required to be paid along with the application.

I Indian Postal Orders/Bank Drafts issued before the date of publication of the advertisement or after the closing date will not be accepted.

II Incomplete application forms i.e. without proof of age and the minimum required qualifications will be straightaway rejected without entering into any correspondence.

III The eligibility of the candidates with regard to age and educational qualifications will be determined on 15.10.2008.

IV Refund of cost of application forms will not be allowed in any case.

V Detailed Instructions applicable to candidates regarding examination, syllabus, eligibility and relaxation in age will be supplied alongwith the application forms.

VI Applications complete in all respects must reach the office of the Secretary, Haryana Public Service Commission, SCO 64-65, Sector 17-A, Chandigarh by 5 P.M. on 15.10.2008.

VII Mobile phones, Pagers, or any other communication/electronic devices are not allowed inside the premises where Commission's examination are being conducted.
