IBPS CWE 2013 – Clerical Recruitment

IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) has notified the Common Written Examination (CWE) for recruitment of Clerical Cadre in 20 public sector banks. Some private sector banks also accept the IBPS CWE Score. The committee has made some changes in the exam. The IBPS CWE will be help ONLINE now and will be followed by a Common Interview for all banks. The previous exam was conducted in Nov 2012.

Private Sector Organisations:
Some private banks and other organisations also accept IBPS CWE Score for Recruitment for similar posts. Some of them are listed below:
20 to 28 years [relaxation as per GOI rules]
Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
Computer literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.
Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT (candidates should know how to read/ write and speak the Official Language of the State/UT) for which vacancies a candidate wishes to apply is preferable.
Ex-Servicemen who do not possess the above civil examination qualifications should be matriculate Ex-Servicemen who have obtained the Army Special Certificate of Education or corresponding certificate in the Navy or Air Force after having completed not less than 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Union.
Pattern of ONLINE Written Test
Time Allowed: 120 Minutes (or 2 Hours)
Maximum Marks: 200
1. Reasoning (40 Qs, 40 Marks)
2. English Language (40 Qs, 40 Marks)
3. Numerical Ability (40 Qs, 40 Marks)
4. General Awareness (with special reference to Banking Industry) (40 Qs, 40 Marks)
5. Computer Knowledge (40 Qs, 40 Marks)
One fourth or 0.25 times the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty for incorrect answers.
How to Apply?
Candidates must apply online, and no other mode of application will be accepted.
SC/ST/PWD: Rs. 100
Others: Rs. 600
Mode of Payment:
Candidates have the option of:
(1) ONLINE MODE of payment of requisite fees
(2) OFFLINE MODE i.e. payment of fees through NEFT enabled branches of the 20 named Public Sector Banks.
