Qualification:

The candidate should possess minimum aggregate of 60 % marks (50% for SC/ST candidates) in the qualifying degree as mentioned below:

1. Full time four year B.E. / B.Tech. in the discipline of Electronics / Telecommunications / Electronics & Telecommunications / Computer Science / Information Technology

OR

2. Two years full time Masters in Computer Applications (MCA) / Masters in Computer Systems (MCS)

OR

3. Two years full time course in Masters in Business Administrations (MBA) / Masters in Management Studies (MMS) with information Technology or Systems or Computer Science as specialization or equivalent.

Work Experience:

Minimum two years (excluding Project Work which is a part of course curriculum) in one or more skill sets as mentioned below:

Operating System: Windows/Linux/AS400/Netware/Unix

Microsoft Technologies: Net Technologies ASP/JSP/Visual Basic/Visual C++/Share Point Services/Active Directory.

Networking: LAN/WAN/Wireless using CISCO/Nortel Technologies/VSAT

RDBMS: Oracle/SQL Server/DB2

Server Computing: CITRIX/Hob-link

Security: IDS/Firewalls

Messaging & Collaboration: GroupWise/Lotus Notes

Enterprise Management Tools: Tivoli/HP Open View/CA-Unicenter

Application Development: JD. Edwards ERP Tool Set.

Age Limit:

30 years (maximum as on February 24, 2009) [Relaxations as per Government Directives]

Selection Procedure:

Written Test:

Candidates fulfilling all of the above criteria will be eligible for appearing for the Objective Type Test comprising of two parts

a. General Aptitude (Consisting of Intellectual Potential Test, Quantitative Aptitude Test and Test of English Language)

b. Academic/Subject Knowledge (Questions based on what you studied in your qualifying degree exam)

Interview:

The candidates will be called for the Personal Interview as per the policy of the Corporation.

Salary / Pay Scale:

These positions are in Management Cadre in "A" grade in the Salary Scale of Rs.12000 - 17500 (under revision) plus VDA, HRA, CCA, etc. and other perquisites as applicable to particular grade. The CTC would be appx. Rs.7.00 lakhs per annum. Posting can be in any Division/Department of the Corporation at any place in the country/otherwise and the services thereafter will be transferable as required by the Corporation. These positions would involve working in shift duties.

4: Attach the DD send the same by ordinary post to Post Box No. 11402, Marine Lines Post Office, Mumbai - 400020, to reach on or before 2nd March, 2009. DD is not applicable for SC/ST/PWD candidates and are required to attach documents supporting the category (SC/ST/PWD as applicable) along with the application form.

    This is last year 2008 pattern:
    TENTATIVE EXAMINATION DATE WOULD BE 7th JUNE,2009.
    The test will consists of two parts. Part-I: 120 questions,Part-II: 50 questions.time: 2hours ,No negative marking

    Part-I: this section consists of Quantitative,English Language and Intellectual ability(reasoning)-120 questions

    Part-II: this section consists of questions from Technical Knowledge-50 questions

    Total written exam time is 2 hours.and total questions is 170.so here time management is very important. here i will give clearly what type of questuions they asked

    PART-I
    English Language: they given around 40 questions from this,like prepositions,articles,meanings,antonyms,reading passage and correction of sentences

    Quantitative : in this section also they given around 40 questions,they asked about ratios,percentages,etc

    Intelluctual Ability: here also they given 40 questions, here they given some series of fiugures and sasked find the next figure. and two statements are given and asked find the conclusion and also they given one conclusion ,theyasked find the correct statement like wise they asked 40 questions from reasoning.

    PART-II
    This is Technical section, so i am an INSTRUMENTATION engineer.so here i given what type of questions they asked and the topics also for Instrumentation branch

    they asked mainly on the following topics,these all are basics only,

    control systems,micro processor,op-amps,transducers,measurements,logic circuits and some from micro controllers,they asked most of the questions from control systems and digital electronics.

    all questions are objective type questions,so we have to answer 170 questions from 120 min.so time management is very important.

      I think you specified the above pattern for Information systems officer (TENTATIVE EXAMINATION DATE WOULD BE 7th JUNE,2009.)

      As the eligibility is 2yrs work experiences,
      In the partII of the question paper i.e Academic knowledge will it be questions based on our stream (eg:ECE,CSE ect) or on the whole CSE related subjects as it is for Information Systems
