Selection Of Management Trainees (Technical) / Design Trainees
HAL is currently looking for bright Engineering Graduates for appointment for its various Divisions / R&D Centres / Offices at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Nasik, Koraput (Orissa), Lucknow, Kanpur, Korwa (U.P) and Barrackpore (W.B).
Number of Posts:
Post SC ST OBC (non-creamy layer) UR Total
Management Trainees (Technical):
175 (SC: 26, ST: 13, OBC: 48, UR: 88)
Design Trainees:
100 (SC: 15, ST: 8, OBC: 27, UR: 50)
Qualification:
(a) Management Trainees (Technical)
Graduates in Aeronautical / Computer Science / Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Metallurgy / Production Branches of Engineering from recognized Institution / University.
(b) Design Trainees
Graduates in Aeronautical / Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Branches of Engineering from recognized Institution / University.
Other qualification (for both Management Trainees (Tech) and Design Trainees)
General / OBC candidates should have secured a minimum of 65% marks and SC/ST candidates should have secured a minimum of 55% Marks, in the aggregate, of all the Semesters / Years OR corresponding CGPA Ratings / Gradations in their Engineering Degree Examinations.
Engineering Graduates in the Aeronautical Branch with minimum aggregate 60% marks (for General / OBC) and 50% marks (for SC / STs) would be eligible to apply.
- The total maximum marks and total marks obtained for all the Semesters / Years will be summed up to arrive at aggregate percentage.
- No rounding off will be done & no weightage will be given to any particular Semester or Year.
- Candidates who have passed their Engineering Degree in required Discipline and obtained the prescribed percentage of Marks as on 24-10-2008 only need to apply. Candidates who have appeared in their final year or whose results are awaited are not eligible to apply.

Age Limit:
As on 01-10-2008 not above 28 years for General candidates. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in respect of SC/ST candidates and 3 years in respect of OBC candidates.
Application Fee:
Rs.200/- (wherever applicable), which is non-refundable, is to be sent in the form of crossed Demand Draft drawn on any Nationalized Bank (preferably Indian Bank or State Bank of India) in favour of ‘Hindustan Aeronautics Limited', payable at Bangalore.
NO Fee for SC / ST / PWD / Internal category.
The Demand Draft should have been obtained for the post of Management Trainees (Technical) / Design Trainees between the period 15-10-2008 and 24-10-2008.
Last Date:
31st October 2008. The envelope should be superscribed as "Selection of Management/DesignTrainee".

Training And Stipend:
Selected candidates will be imparted Theoretical / On-the-Job Training for a period of One Year. Minimum emoluments during training is Rs. 25,382/- p.m
Selection Procedure:
Eligible candidates will have to appear for an Objective Type ONLINE Test at their own expense, on the date, time and venue, which will be mentioned in the Admit Card. The candidates are required to download their Admit card from HAL website on the dates mentioned in schedule. Admit cards will not be sent either by post or by e-mail. The ONLINE Test will be held at major Cities and the Candidates may choose the option of preferred online test location. Candidates will be short-listed for interview based on the performance in the ONLINE Test. Selected candidates would be posted as Management Trainees/Design Trainees in any of the Divisions / R&D Centres / Offices, based on the requirements of the Company.
Absorption:
On successful completion of the training, the Trainees would be absorbed as Engineers in Grade-II Scale of Pay. (Pay Scales are due for revision w. e. f. 01.01.2007). At present, CTC for Grade-II Officers is Rs. 6.0 lacs (approx.) per annum.

@Thankesh - It is my personal opinion.. You may or may not follow it. I told these things from my experience. Previous year I got selected in HAL test and cleared the Interview, But I didn't joined there, Because the Salary was not good compare to my current job.
