Chandigarh Education Department Teacher Recruitment Test 2009: Date Sheet and Syllabus

Chandigarh Education Department, Chandigarh Administration, is going to conduct the Recruitment Exam for Regular Placement of B. Ed. / JBT / ETT Teachers.

The advertisement for the posts were published in August 2007. The exams will be conducted in the month of July 2009 on the following dates (as published on Chandigarh education department’s website http://chdeducation.gov.in/Date%20sheets.doc):

I. Hindi Master/Mistress

Date: 11th July, 2009 (Saturday)

Time: 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon

II. Punjabi Master/Mistress

Date: 11th July, 2009 (Saturday)

Time: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM

III. Sc. Medical Master/Mistress

Date: 12th July, 2009 (Sunday)

Time: 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon

IV. D.P.E.

Date: 12th July, 2009 (Sunday)

Time: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM

V. Fine Arts

Date: 13th July, 2009 (Monday)

Time: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM

VI. Sanskrit

Date: 14th July, 2009 (Tuesday)

Time: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Syllabus and Pattern of Exam:

The paper will consist of following sections. The difficulty level of the question papers will be as per essential qualifications prescribed for each category of posts.

No. of Questions: 160

Duration: 3 Hours

Objective Type Test:

1. 120 Questions related to subjects from qualifying exam (like Hindi for Hindi Master/Mistress)

2. 40 Questions on Teaching Potential, Reasoning. And General Awareness/Knowledge

Descriptive Test:

One paragraph each in following Languages:

1. English (Compulsory). 100-120 Words

2. Hindi OR Punjabi. 100-120 Words
