Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), invites application for the following posts

Vacancy: Asstt. Security Officer (A)

Number of Posts: 44 (SC: 02, ST: 04, OBC: 14, Gen: 24)

Age Limit:

Upto 27 years as on July 01, 2009. Relaxation as per rules

Scale of Pay: Rs.9300-34800 + Grade Pay Rs.4200/- DA, HRA & Transport Allowance as admissible under Central Government rules.

Qualification:

Graduate from a recognized University.

Experience: (for Ex-Servicemen)

Not below Junior Commissioned Officer or equivalent or having five years experience as Non-Commissioned Officer or equivalent.

(b) Minimum Height: 167 cms.

(c) Chest: 80-85 cms

Selection Procedure:

The Screened in candidates will have to qualify in the physical test under Constituted Board as follows:

(a) Physical events:

(i) 1.6 Kms. Run - 6 minutes 30 seconds

(ii) Long Jump - 3.65 meters in 3 chances

(iii) Chin ups and Push Ups

Upto 30 years: 08 - 09

30 - 40 years: 05 - 06

40 - 45 years: 16 - 17

Above 45 years: 12 - 13

Sit Ups

Upto 30 years: 25 - 29

30 - 40 years: 20 - 24

40 - 45 years: 15 - 19

Above 45 years: 10 - 14

(b) Written Test (75 marks, 90 Minutes)

Composition of the question paper will be as per the following pattern:

(A) Comprehension: 25 Marks

(B) Report writing: 25 Marks

(C) Analytical (Basic Maths, General Awareness, Objective Type): 25 Marks

(c) Interview: 25 Marks

NOTE:

Candidates having NCC 'C' Certificate and State Level Sports Certificate will be preferred.
