Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission invites online Applications for recruitment to the Post of Group: IV Services for following posts:
1. Junior Assistants in Various Departments (Other than HOD and Directorates)
No of Posts: 592
Age (As on July 01, 2008):
18 to 39 years (Relaxation as per rules)
Scale of Pay:
Rs. 4825-10845
Educational Qualifications:
Must have passed the Intermediate examination conducted by the A.P. State Board of Intermediate examination or its equivalent.
2. Supervisors in A.P. Juvenile Welfare & Correctional Sub-Service
No of Posts: 34
Age (As on July 01, 2008):
18 to 39 (Relaxation as per rules)
Scale of Pay:
Rs. 4595-10285
Educational Qualifications:
a) Must have passed SSC or Matriculation or its equivalent qualification.
b) Must be at least 167 cms in height and at least 86.3 cms round the chest on full inspiration with a minimum expansion of 5 cms.
c) In case of ST's, where the reserved quota cannot be fully utilized for want of candidates with required physical standards, the physical standards shall be not less than 164 cms in height and must not less than 78.7 cms round the chest on full inspiration with a minimum chest expansion of 5 cms.
3. Matron Grade: II in A.P. Juvenile Welfare & Correctional Sub-Service
No of Posts: 12
Age (As on 1/07/2008):
18 to 39 (Relaxation as per rules)
Scale of Pay:
Rs. 4595-10285 (Only women candidates are eligible)
Educational Qualifications
a) Must have passed SSC or Matriculation or its equivalent qualification.
b) Must be at least 152.5 cms in height and at least 45.5 kgs in weight
Selection Procedure:
NOTE: Selections to the posts will be made by the District selection Committee.
a) The Selection Of Candidates For Appointment To The Posts Will Be Made On Written Examination (Objective Type) Only For Eligible Candidates.

Maximum Marks: 150 + 150 = 300

Syllabus:
PAPER-I: General Studies
Syllabus formulated by the Board of Secondary School Certificate, A.P., as prescribed for 10th Class in History, Geography, Civics, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and Current Affairs.
PAPER-II: Secretarial Abilities
1) Mental Ability (Verbal and non-verbal)
2) Logical Reasoning
3) Comprehension
4) Re-arrangement of sentences with a view to improving analysis of a passage.
5) Numerical and Arithmetical abilities.
