Zone Wise Details:
1. North Zone (28 Posts):
Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Delhi and UT of Chandigarh.
2. East Zone (01 Post):
West Bengal, Orissa, Bihar and Jharkhand
3. North East Zone (26 Posts):
Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland & Sikkim
4. West Zone (23 Posts):
Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Goa, UT of Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli
5. South Zone (50 Posts):
Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, UT of Pondicherry, Andaman Nicobar and Lakshadweep
Pay Scale:
Rs. 9300-34800 (Grade Pay 4200)
Educational Qualification:
Three years Diploma in Radio/Tele-communication/ Electrical/ Electronics/ IT/ Electrical Communication Engineering recognised by Govt. of India OR
Degree with Physics as one of the subjects from a recognised University OR
Degree in Engineering in the relevant field from a recognised University OR
Diploma in Sound Recording and Sound Engineering awarded by FTII, Pune.
Desirable: Knowledge of Wireless or Radio Engineering
Age Limit (as on Aug 02, 2010):
18-27 years [relaxation as per rules]
Written Test Syllabus :
The recruitment will be made on the basis of written test of two hour duration
The written test will consist of one paper as detailed below:
Questions: 175 (2 Marks Each)
Type: Objective type
Topics: syllabus of three years (a) Diploma courses (b) B.Sc (Physics) and 25 objective type questions on General Knowledge and Current Affairs.
Negative Marking: One mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Application Fee:
SC/ST/PH/XSM: Rs. 25
Others: Rs. 100
How to Apply:
Applications should be submitted in the prescribed OMR Application Forms, which can be procured from the main branch of SBI from the list provided in the detailed advt. upto July 30, 2010. It can also be collected from various other agencies by post. The application should be submitted to the respective Zonal Chief Engineers on the basis of zone opted for, by post or courier or in person so as to reach on or before the last date.
