APPSC (Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission), Hyderabad invites online applications for the 1017 posts of Lecturers in government degree colleges in AP Collegiate Education Service

Educational Qualifications:
i) Good academic record with a minimum of 55% of the marks or an equivalent Grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E & F at the Masters Degree level, in the relevant subject, obtained from the Universities recognized in India.
ii) Should have passed National Eligibility Test (NET) for lecturers conducted by UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC or SLET conducted by the APPSC (formerly by A.P. College Service Commission.) N.B.:1. A relaxation of 5% marks may be provided, from (55% to 50% of marks) at the Master’s Level for the SC/ST category.
2. A relaxation of 5% marks may be provided, (from 55% to 50% of marks) to the Ph.D., Degree holder who have passed their Master’s Degree prior to 19.09.1991.
3. Candidates possessing Ph.D., are exempted from passing (NET/SLET) [In terms of UGC (Minimum Qualifications required for the appointment & Career Advancement of Teachers in Universities & Institutions affiliated to it) (3rd Amendment) Regulation, 2009 and hence subject to receipt of amendment to the Rules issued in G.O. Ms. No. 47 Higher Education (CE.I-1) Department., dt. 14/05/2007 from the State Government.]

How to Apply:
Apply using the proforma application to be made available on www.apspsc.gov.in from November 10, 2009 to December 31, 2009 (December 28, 2009 is the last date for payment of fees).
The Commission has dispensed with the sale of applications through HPOs / Sales Counter of Commission’s office. The desirous eligible Candidates may apply ON-LINE. Hand written/ Typed/ Photostat copies/ Printed Application Form will not be entertained either by APPSC directly or by Post Office nor in person.
After filling the necessary details, the challan will be generated in downloadable/printable PDF. Candidates are required to take printout of the challan. The Candidates are required to pay the amount indicated in the challan in any branch of State Bank of India across the country / AP Online centres and fill up application form ONLINE as detailed below.
Steps to Apply Online:
Step 1: The Candidate has to log-on to the WEBSITE (www.apspsc.gov.in) and enter his/her Basic Details like Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, and Community.
Step 2: Immediately on entering the above details the Applicant will get Challan Form to pay the Fee at AP Online centers /State Bank of India.
Step 3: The Applicant should pay the prescribed Fee in any one of the A.P. On-line centers / State Bank of India and obtain Fee paid Challan with Journal Number in the first instance.
Step 4: On the next working day after payment of Fee the Applicant should again visit WEBSITE and enter the Journal Number to get the format of Application. The applicant has to invariably fill all the columns in the Application and submit On-line.
