On Line Applications are invited to fill-up 675 temporary posts of Constables (Male/Female) for India Reserve Battalion (IRB) in Union Territory Chandigarh.

Pay Scale:

Rs. 3120-5160 (with the initial start of Rs. 3330) with allowances

Number of Posts (675):

Male: 524 (Gen: 244, SC: 76, OBC: 137, EXSM: 67)

Female: 151 (Gen: 81, SC: 25, OBC: 182)

Qualification (as on Jan 01, 2009)::

Age Limit (as on Jan 01, 2009):

18 to 23 years. Relaxation as per rules

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Measurement Test (PMT) will start w.e.f. July 06, 2009 to July 20, 2009 in Police Lines, Sector-26, Chandigarh. Schedule for date and time will be available on Chandigarh Police website www.chandigarhpolice.nic.in w.e.f. July 01, 2009.

Written Test will be held on July 26, 2009

Result will be declared on July 27, 2009

Driving Skill Test will be conducted on July 28, 2009 and July 29, 2009 in new Police Lines Sector-26 Chandigarh.

The candidates who will pass the PET/PMT, written test and driving test will be called for Interview w.e.f. July 30, 2009 to August 03, 2009.

Final result will be declared on August 04, 2009
