IIT Kharagpur: Junior Engineers / Technicians

Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur invites applications for the following post on contract basis:

1. Junior Technician:

Number of Posts: 15 (UR-8, OBC-4, SC-2, ST-1)

Scale of Pay:

Rs. 5200-20200 (PB-1) + Grade Pay Rs. 2000/- and allowances as admissible

Qualification:

Diploma in Engineering of three years duration in the field of Civil / Chemical / Computer / Electronics / Electrical / Environmental / Mechanical Engineering OR

Bachelors Degree (10+2+3 years) in Chemistry and Physics OR equivalent.

Wiremen License/Permit issued by Chief Electrical Inspector/competent authority of respective State is essential for candidates with electrical specialization.

Desirable:

Experience and knowledge in computer application, electronic instruments, repairing & maintenance and handling of sophisticated instruments.

2. Senior Sports Officer

Number of Posts: 1 Post (UR)

Scale of Pay:

Rs. 10000-325-15200 and allowances as admissible (under revision)

Qualification & Experience:

Master's degree in Physical Education from a recognized university with at least 55% marks, having certificate in Coaching from National or International recognized body and represented the university / college at the Inter University / Inter-Collegiate competitions or the State in National Championship with minimum 15 years experience in a reputed institution and experience of organizing inter university competitions / international competitions in Sports & Games and in Social & Culture.

3. Junior Engineer:

Number of Posts: 4 Posts (Civil-3, Electrical-1) (UR-2, OBC-1, ST-1)

Scale of Pay:

Rs. 9300-34800/- (PB-2) + Grade Pay Rs. 4200/- and allowances as admissible

Qualification & Experience:

Degree in Electrical Engineering / Civil Engineering with at least one year field experience OR

Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Civil Engineering with 3 years' field experience. Valid supervisory license/certificate/permit issued by Chief Electrical Inspector/competent authority of respective State is essential for candidates with electrical specialization.

Desirable for Civil Engineering:

Knowledge of computer applications, experience in design & estimation, construction & maintenance of buildings, roads, drains, structural work, interior and all kinds of finishing works, including sanitary and plumbing works.

Desirable for Electrical Engineering:

Knowledge of computer applications, experience in operation & maintenance of 33kV substation, testing of relays, switchgears, power transformers and instrument transformers, planning, design and estimation of a power system and also internal electrical works of large infrastructure projects, operation & maintenance of diesel generator set & AMF panel.
