POWER GRID needs Trainee Engineers for its Southern Region Transmission System-I for the region covering the states of Andhra Pradesh and part of Northern Karnataka following posts:

I. Diploma Trainee (Electrical)

No of Posts:

11 (UR-6, SC-1, ST-1, OBC-3)

Training Stipend:

Rs.7300

Pay Scale:

After training regularised as Junior Engineer Gr.IV in the pay scale of Rs.7300-12660

Qualification:

Diploma in Electrical Engg. from recognised Technical Board/ Institute with minimum 70% marks in aggregate of all semesters/years for General and OBC candidates and pass marks for PH/SC/ST candidates.

Selection Procedure:

Written Test, Interview

II. Junior Technician Trainee (Electrical)

No of Posts:

27 (UR-14, SC-4, ST-1, OBC-8)

Training Stipend:

Rs. 5000

Pay Scale:

to be regularised as Jr. Technician (W-3) in the Pay Scale of Rs.5000-9590 after successful completion of One year training.

Qualification:

ITI (Electrical) Pass from a recognised Technical Board/ Institute.

Selection Procedure:

Written Test, Trade Test and Interview.

III. Junior Supervisors Trainees (HR):

No of Posts:

4 (UR-3, OBC-1)

Training Stipend:

Rs.7300

Pay Scale:

To be regularised as Jr. Supervisor (HR) (S-1) in the Pay Scale of Rs.7300 -12660 after successful completion of One year training.

Qualification:

Two year full time course in PG Diploma in Personnel Management/MSW or equivalent from a recognised Institute with minimum 55% marks in aggregate of all semesters/years for General and OBC candidates and pass marks for PH/SC/ST candidates

Selection Procedure:

Written test, Computer skill test and personal interview.

Maximum Age (as on January 03, 2009):

27 years. [Relaxation as per rules.]

SC/ST/PH/Ex-SM candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
